About the AEMFC Geology Graduate Programme

African Exploration Mining and Finance Corporation (AEMFC) is inviting graduates to apply for the Geology Graduate Programme. The first preference will be given to graduates residing within the Emalaheni Local Municipality.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE PROGRAMME:

  • A minimum qualification of NQF Level 7 qualification in Geology or similar.
  • Able to demonstrate acquired theoretical knowledge in the field of study.
  • High level of maturity and eagerness to gain more learnings.
  • A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
  • Good business writing, planning and organisational skills.
  • Computer literate, knowledgeable with MS Office applications.

Purpose

This role is open as a result of the approved organisational structure and, the need to strengthen plant supervision which will improve safety performance, as well as coal quality management. Furthermore, this will address our commitment made to Eskom in the process of seeking coal supply suspension upliftment, which was imposed due to product quality related issues.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a diploma in Metallurgical Engineering or related.
  • A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in coal mine processing plant.
  • Must have experience in dealing with Coal supply contracts.
  • Must have experience in client relations and the management of the CQMP.
  • Advanced Coal Preparation Certificate.
  • Computer literacy and fluency with MS Office.
  • Certificate of Fitness.
  • Valid driver's license.

Purpose

The Front – End – Loader Operators are responsible for operating the Front – End Loader trucks with RoM and crushed coal, blending of stockpiles and to feed the crushing and screening plant.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Grade 10 / N1 / NCV Level 2.
  • Front – End – Loader Certificate.
  • Experience in operating a Front – End – Loader.
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in a Crushing & Screening plant and stockyard environment.
  • Certificate of Fitness.
  • Valid driver's license (Code 08)
